1. General information
BCROSS RUN is a race combining running and workouts. Each race may have a different course layout, length of running sections and composition of individual disciplines according to the location and possibilities of the area. Each athlete is required to familiarize themselves with the information for the specific event prior to the race, especially the schedule, site map, heats and workout standards.
Both by registering and participating in the race, the athlete confirms that he/she is participating voluntarily, on his/her own responsibility and in a state of health appropriate to the physical load.
2. Registration
Registration for the race is valid only after the entry form has been duly filled in and the entry fee has been paid. The number of places in each category is limited and registration is closed when the capacity is full.
Each athlete is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided at registration. The organizer reserves the right to refuse or cancel registration in case of failure to meet the conditions of the race or violation of the rules.
3. Categories
The race is open for different performance and age levels according to the categories of the specific event. Exact category divisions, conditions and possible age restrictions are always listed for the specific event.
For the children and junior categories, the legal guardian or an authorized person is responsible for the registration of the child.
4. Course of the race
The athlete starts in his/her assigned heats according to the published schedule. He/she is obliged to arrive on time at the starting area and follow the instructions of the organizer, referees and crew members.
During the race, the athlete must complete all running sections and all prescribed workouts in the correct order. Shortening the course, skipping part of the run, not completing a workout or violating the prescribed flow may result in a time penalty or disqualification.
5. Workouts and movement standards
Each workout has its own performance standard, which is included in the information for the specific event. The athlete is required to familiarize himself with these standards in advance. Repetitions that do not meet the prescribed standard may not be recognized.
The organizer recommends all athletes to study the text standards and watch video demonstrations of individual disciplines before the competition. Ignorance of the rules and standards is not a reason for excuse during the competition.
6. Fair play
Each participant is obliged to behave in the spirit of fair play, with courtesy and respect towards other athletes, judges, crew and spectators. Any unsportsmanlike conduct, vulgar or aggressive behaviour, deliberate disruption of the race or failure to respect the organiser's instructions may lead to a penalty or immediate disqualification without refund of the entry fee.
7. Security
The safety of all participants is a priority for the organiser. The athlete is obliged to take extra care when moving on the track, in transitions between disciplines and in the start and finish area.
In case of health problems, injury or other complication, the athlete is obliged to interrupt the competition and immediately inform the nearest crew member, referee or medical officer. The organizer reserves the right not to allow to start or to withdraw from the race an athlete whose continuation could endanger his health or the safety of others.
8. Judges and crew
The instructions of the judges, organizers and crew members are binding throughout the event. Their task is to ensure the smooth, safe and fair running of the race. Failure to follow their instructions may be grounds for penalty or disqualification.
9. Results
The final ranking is determined by the official timing and completion of all prescribed parts of the race. The organizer reserves the right to adjust the results in the event of a detected violation of the rules, incorrect course or other serious facts.
Any protests can only be lodged within 1 hour of the results being published.
10. Responsibility and consent of the participant
The participant acknowledges that he/she participates in the race on his/her own responsibility. The Organiser shall not be liable for any damage to health or property incurred by the Participant except as provided by law.
By registering for the race, the participant also agrees to take photographs and video recordings during the event and to use them for the presentation of the race and the BCROSS RUN brand.
11. Changes to the rules
The organizer reserves the right to modify, supplement or change these rules at any time to suit the needs of the event, race safety or organizational conditions. The current version of the rules is always published at the event.
